The Global Professional Basketball League, often abbreviated to the GPBL, is an American men's semi-professional minor league basketball organization. The league's inaugural season will start in November 2010, with teams based in cities across the United States. Initially, the GPBL was set to have four teams play in the inaugural 2010 season,[1] however, these teams have since been relegated to the Global Professional Basketball League 2 (GPBL-2).[2] A new slate of teams will be announced in the coming weeks.
